As part of my MFA work, I created a small jewelry collection that extends the themes of my project on Brazilian funk.
This collection of rings draws inspiration from the visual language of Brazilian funk, incorporating elements that are emblematic of its environment. Narrow paths, sunglasses, electric wires strung across public poles, speakers, and clusters of houses are all reimagined as miniature sculptural forms worn on the hand.
Each ring transforms these everyday references into objects reflecting the rhythm and textures of funk.
The rings were made in collaboration with local jewelers in Qatar.
